Total static, unusable

I was looking forward to it, but every word is just static

Do Not Update!!

After I updated to the new version many of the translations from Hebrew to English are wrong. I regret updating. I give it 2 stars because of the fact that Im being given the incorrect translation.

Interactive and useful

I found it pretty useful for my language learning quest.

Great app

This is very great app.

Awesome app

This app is exactly what I have been looking for. Works great! Thanks!!!

A very good app!

I like the fact that you can record an audio of yourself speaking and copying the native speakers. Its useful and one of the best language apps that Ive used so far. Merci, danke, arigato, gracias, grazie, thanks to the developers for this app!

We want to iphone 5

We want this app for iphone 5 retina thank you

Amazing!

This app has helped me so much with my German! It is very good if you are learning how to pronounce. My native German classmate even says I sound very good! Worth your time. There is so much to learn on the free version. And there is so much more you can learn if you upgrade it! The money is totally worth it! You will not regret this download it. It is a very good app for beginners and intermediate level speakers. Trust me, this helps a lot!!! I hope to see more upgrades.

thanks

Best app ever

The only issue is that sometimes the apps audio doesnt work but other than than love the app.

Pretty Good

Update: I lowered my rating because the current version of this app crashes on my iphone 4s and iPad (3rd gen). no functionality at all. please fix! earlier review: This app and the Book2 apps share common roots. They both pull from the same source material. This app covers the material pretty well and has a nice testing feature using word lists and flash cards (the Book2 apps focus more on playing the lists for you and sleep training with no real testing). All of the feature (word list, flash cards, and testing) work pretty well, but Id like to see a way to move from lesson to lesson without having to go back up to the top tier list every time. Also, oddly - sometime, when in a word list/test/etc. pressing the learn button would take me back up tot the lesson selection but sometime it would take me all the way back to language selection! I dont know why! The whole mechanism for drilling into the material and backing out was a little clumsy. There is no click or indication when you press a button, and sometimes there is a slight lag or delay - even on an iPhone 4s! It made the whole app feel kind of sluggish and that shouldnt be in a simple app like this! The testing feature is a little different - it presents you with a choice - show the text or hear the audio, then you select your answer from the one of the four items below. This is ok, but its usually easy to see which item stands out. And I really wish the lesson number wasnt included as a possible question. Also - when you select your answer it turns green or red, but then nothing until the next question is loaded. You can keep pressing buttons or whatever until this happens and it happens kind of slowly. It makes the app feel a little unpolished, unfinished. When you use the "my score" button - it shows you your scores, but by list group, not individual lesson. So if you take the test in lists 1 through 10 and you score 10 on each of them, you will see 10 entries telling you that you score 10 on 1-10. You dont know what lesson each entry is about. Id like to see that display the specific lesson, not the group list. The Facebook/Twitter integration is interesting, but not particularly meaningful to me. No fault of the app, but I dont feel a need to broadcast my results to the world. :) Overall its pretty good, but I think the app could be sped up a bit and could be a little more polished than it currently is. I also think the full language downloads are a little more expensive than they should be, but the price is subject to opinion! Its a good and useful app and makes a nice companion/counterpoint to the book2 app or as a solo learning tool.

unsatisfied

hi this app would be great if it would work properly. The problem is that it mixes up the pronunciations and the translations. In addition it gives another languages audio instead of the one that we chose which is really annoying. Also I bought it for 9.99$ so I expect it to work properly. please fix the problems that this app has, thank you !! :(((

Excellent beginners app

This is very nice beginners language learning app. It covers basic expressions in 50 languages. I recommend it.

Great app for ever

App causes Updates to hang

The 50 languages makes the Update app hang. The 50 languages remains in the foreground whenever Update is opened, making it impossible to update other apps or use iTunes Store.

No sound? Really?

Wanted it primarily for japanese. It is in kanji, so unless you are advanced, you dont know what the word is- and it has no sound! Why they releases this app when sound is "not yet available" is beyond me. Poor and irresponsible timing. I suggest other apps like mind snacks languages. This app had potential with different games and activities, but sound is crucial. I also had it crash within two minutes of looking at it.

Wow

This app gives the user a tremendous edge with regard to learning the foundation of a new language. I love it!

Perfect

It is a great app. This app uses everyday useful words related to work and home. Im very happy and glad I decided to use the in app purchase for the full course. Thanks its very helpful.
